Import Rival Driver Profile - ta4brownImport Rival: How did you get involved in import modification?ta4brown: I purchased a 00 Honda Civic SI and basically was introduced to the import scene from a close friend because of my car. Import Rival: What personal reasons do you have for doing this? ta4brown: I enjoy the looks on peoples faces. The import scene as a whole and the amount of people that have the same love and passion for the import scene. Import Rival: Why did you choose THIS vehicle to modify? ta4brown: It has a very nice platform to build from. Many different mods and I truly enjoy the body style of this model. Import Rival: How did you get involved in competitions/shows? ta4brown: I've never really entered any car shows because I feel that I am not ready for competition until I feel that I am ready. I don't want to enter any competition half-assed. I want to leave a lasting impression. Import Rival: How did you get involved in racing? ta4brown: I enjoy the competetion. We has a local track where I was stationed at in Fort Bragg, NC. It brought out many people to a location for the same goals(being a winner) Import Rival: Is this the first vehicle that you have modified? ta4brown: Yes. This is the first vehicle that I have ever purchased. It holds a special place in my heart, but it won't be the last vehicle I modify. Import Rival: Is this the first vehicle that you have raced? ta4brown: Yes, only at the track. Gotta stay safe first. Import Rival: Who is/are your current car clubs/teams/speed shop? ta4brown: Currently, I am not affiliated with any car clubs. I am living overseas in Italy and cannot represent any car clubs to it's fullest potential if I am overseas instead of the states. Import Rival: Who are your current sponsors? ta4brown: None. Import Rival: What is your advice for those who want to get started in import modification or competing? ta4brown: Look for a car that truly appeals to you and your presonality. Once you find that, the sky's the limit. Import Rival: What is your advice for those who want to get started in racing? ta4brown: Make sure that you way your options. Racing consists of many parts and must have funding in order to prevent any major mechanical problems. Import Rival: Is this vehicle your daily driver? ta4brown: Yes, this is my daily driver. Import Rival: If so, how often do you get undue attention from law enforcement? ta4brown: Because of the color and flashiness of the ride, it gets many looks from both law enforcement. I wouldn't change it for the world. Import Rival: What was your biggest mistake when you began modifying your vehicle? ta4brown: I wanted to do everything at once. It's safer to make a plan and stick to it. Choose what is more important, and build that entire platform before moving to something else. Import Rival: What do you think makes your vehicle special? ta4brown: The color, driver, and of course the childhood super-hero (Mighty Mouse) on the hood. Import Rival: Any other comments or shout-outs? ta4brown: I would like to thank everyone that has helped me along the way.
